English sparkling first came to my wine gatherings few years ago. At that time, my first impression was that English sparkling had good quality, but selling at ‘champagne price’ which was not really attractive.

Few months ago, I tasted this Nyetimber Classic Cuvee NV which surprised me a lots.
這次在法國嘗到這瓶 Nyetimber Classic Cuvee NV，甚為驚喜，不禁想分享一下。

The history of Nyetimber dates back to 1086. It is definitely a pioneer of English sparkling. Ownership passed to a Dutchman, Eric Heerema, in 2006. Nowadays, some of their wines have already become the most expensive English sparkling in the world. A new vintage 1086 and 1086 Rosé are selling at 120 GBP and 130 GBP respectively.
Nyetimber 酒莊的歷史可追溯至1086年，無可否認是英國氣泡酒的先驅。酒莊於2006年轉讓，被荷蘭人 Eric Heerema 買下。時至今日，Nyetimber的個別酒款已成為最貴的英國氣泡酒，新年份1086 及1086 Rosé於英國便分別要120及130 GBP起跳。

This Classic Cuvee is made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. It has more than three years on lees ageing in the cellar.
小女子這次嘗的可說是他們的入門版 - Classic Cuvee 由 Chardonnay、Pinot Noir和Pinot Meunier混釀，於酒窖與酵母陳釀超過3年而成。

Golden yellow colour. It has ripe fruit aromas like apple and peach, nuts and slightly apricot. The bubbles are fine and it has smooth mouth feeling, with flavours of ripe pear, peach and touch of toast and spice, as well as plenty of minerality. It is balance, delicate and worth trying!
呈金黃色，散發出偏熟果香如蘋果、桃、堅果和一絲杏脯香。泡沫細緻，口感綿密，帶熟梨、桃和一絲烤烘味道和香辛氣息，而且充滿礦物感，非常平衡，表現柔和，絕對值得一試！
