Les Vins de Bordeaux Tasting | Champagne Canard-Duchêne

This is my first time to try this champagne house.

Léonie Brut

It is made from 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay.

It has ripe fruit aromas of apple, pear and exotic fruits. The mouth feeling is round.

P181 Extra Brut Bio

It is made from 45% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier.

It has 3-4g/L residual sugar.

This champagne is fresh with pear, peach, citrus and lemon aromas. The acidity is fresh and there is mineral sensation. It is perfect with oyster or aperitif.

Cuvée V Brut Nature 2012

It is made from 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Meunier.

40,000 to 50,000 bottles of production.

Aromas of apple, lemon and touch of toast. There is slightly lemon peel at the finish which make a touch of bitterness. It needs time to breath and the performance at booth is not so expressive.

FS 85+

In my opinion, the champagne from this house is fresh and direct with lively acidity. It does not offer plenty of complexity or layers but is a good aperitif or food pairing choice.
